私はこれまで世界60ヵ国以上を旅し、街を歩きながらさまざまな商品に触れてきました。
ひとつひとつのアイテムには、その土地ならではのデザインや素材、作り手のこだわりやストーリーが込められており、目にするたびに驚きと発見に満ち溢れていました。
そんな商品に出会うたび、「こんな価値あるものが日本にもあったら」「こんなデザインに囲まれて暮らせたら」と心が躍り、私自身の感性や暮らしへの視野も広がっていきました。
こうした経験を通して、近頃さらにアップサイクリングの魅力に目覚めました。不要なものにデザインとストーリーを吹き込み、新しい価値を生み出すその可能性は、環境にも優しく、私たちの暮らしをもっと豊かにしてくれます。
日本の伝統技法である金継ぎも、一種のアップサイクリングと言えます。割れた器を美しく修復し、新たな価値を与えるその考え方には、世界共通の共感があると感じています。

I have traveled to over 60 countries, exploring streets and discovering a wide variety of products along the way.
Each item carries the unique design, materials, and craftsmanship of its region, along with the story behind it, and every encounter filled me with surprise and inspiration.
Through these journeys, I have recently become even more inspired by the possibilities of upcycling. Giving new life to unused materials through design and storytelling not only creates new value but also benefits the environment and enriches our daily lives.
Traditional Japanese techniques like Kintsugi are also a form of upcycling, beautifully repairing broken ceramics and giving them new life—a concept that resonates universally.
At Haru International, we seek out unique and innovative products from around the world that have yet to be discovered in Japan, and bring them to our customers.
We focus especially on products born from upcycling and sustainable practices, offering items that are environmentally conscious yet irresistibly designed, making you want to reach out and hold them.
And in Japan, we aim to make upcycled products more accessible, creating a culture where they can be enjoyed naturally and effortlessly in everyday life.
